Project Overview
The Triangle is a mixed-use development with six-storeys that include 127 secured market rental housing units, and commercial retail use, health care office and a restaurant at the main floor, as well as 2 levels of underground parking that provides 96 parking spaces.
The rezoning of 2970 Kingsway, a triangular former gas station site, aims to create much needed Secured Market Rental housing aligned with the City of Vancouver’s’ Housing and Homelessness strategy.
With an extremely unique triangular nature, the site represents an opportunity to create a dramatic, architectural response while addressing the important city considerations of height, scale, proportion and orientation.
This strategy articulates the corners as urban markers, responding to the presence of the street intersection in a unique manner, and further accentuated by wrapping building form and extending residential balconies.
