MAIN STREET ARTS 2

The mixed use project at 1940 Main Street brings together long term stay (residential) hotel rooms, retail at grade and a 37 space childcare on the second storey.
All of these uses are tightly packed onto this urban site, with a view cone overhead constraining the building height. Childcare outdoor play area set the shape of the building, a large play area one storey above East 4th Avenue, tucked away from the noise of Main Street. At the corner on Main there is south facing public plaza, with colourful seating and a glass elevator up to childcare.
Colourful accents on Main Street are a playful hint of the childcare tucked away on the other side. This building joins the other new developments on Lower Main Street transforming the neighbourhood from light industrial to residential with commercial street interest.
