The Life Sciences Centre (LSC) at University of British Columbia’s Vancouver campus is recognized as a global medical technology research hub. Offices and laboratories accommodate a community of 2,650, including researchers, graduate students, medical students, professors and administrative staff.
Shared amenities, including common areas, faculty and administration offices, classrooms, lecture theatres, a library, medical teaching and support spaces are organized around ae central spine ‘street’ and two multi-storey atrium. The access to views and natural daylight creates extremely liveable work/lab spaces and significantly reduces the overall load on artificial lighting.
