UBC ENGINEERING, MANAGEMENT & EDUCATION BUILDING

The School of Engineering, Management and Education Building provides state of the art labs, classrooms and more learning space for UBC’s Okanagan campus.

This complex, on the UBCO Campus in Kelowna, BC, containing the Faculty of Applied Sciences (Engineering), the Faculty of Management and the Faculty of Education are connected by a central atrium that delivers natural daylight through into the centre of the building, recreating the lighting quality of an open street plaza. This access to natural daylight significantly reduces the overall load on artificial lighting. Shared amenities, including common areas, faculty and administration offices, classrooms, lecture theatres, a library, medical support spaces, and a collegium are organized around the atrium.
