UBC CHEMICAL + BIOLOGICAL ENGINEERING BUILDING

Home to the Clean Energy Research Centre and four Canadian Research Chairs, this landmark facility provides a variety of teaching and research spaces for the study of biological, environmental, and process engineering at the University of British Columbia.
Five different space types are grouped into two distinct structures to satisfy functional and safety requirements. The low rise, ground-related, building houses the high head laboratory, workshops and attendant support services to ensure substantial structural support for heavy equipment and provide ample service access. Additional teaching laboratories, lecture theatres and faculty/student offices, are located in the adjacent six-storey structure.
